About Clatsop Paddle

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. ~ Jacques Yves Cousteau

As locals whose lives are intertwined with the sea, we share our intimate knowledge of the hidden gems in Clatsop County and beyond. Blessed with natural beauty, an abundance of wildlife and steeped in rich history, the North Oregon Coast and the Lower Columbia region is paradise for the nature lover and history buff. We offer standup paddleboard special events for groups of all kinds.

Staying safe while having fun is our number one priority. Coastal weather, which can be unpredictable coupled with strong tidal currents requires extra caution and an understanding of the local conditions. Our lead guides are certified instructors and hold current wilderness medicine first responder certifications.

Perhaps follow in the wake of the Lewis and Clark expedition along the banks of the Lewis and Clark river, observe wildlife such as harbor seals and bald eagles in their natural habitats, learn how the mighty Columbia River was formed or meander past houseboats up the idyllic John Day river.

If you are a first-timer, no worries! All events include a lesson and our fleet of stable boards is perfect for beginners.

Special events for corporate groups, schools or parties can be customized to suit your occasion.

We are eco-friendly and proud to support Pacific Northwest businesses such as Stand on Liquid, Kialoa Paddles and NRS.
